New Delhi: Zinc prices rose 80 paise to Rs 282.65 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. Zinc contracts for October delivery traded higher 0.28 per cent in a business turnover of 1,181 lots. Widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher.
Aluminium futures flat on muted demand
Aluminium prices remained flat at Rs 261.65 per kilogram in 1,885 lots in the futures trade as traders kept to the sidelines amid muted demand from consuming industries. Participants opted a wait-and-watch approach and refrained from building fresh positions.
Copper futures gain on increased bets
Copper futures rose 0.35 per cent to Rs 912 per kilogram due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for October delivery grew Rs 3.20 in a business turnover of 4,653 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
