Zinc futures fall on low participation

New Delhi: Zinc prices fell 0.43 per cent to Rs 276.55 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. Zinc contracts for October delivery traded lower by Rs 1.20 in 434 lots. Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
Copper futures decline on weak trend
Copper futures fell Rs 4.60 to Rs 906.75 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. Copper futures for the September contract eased by Rs 4.60 per kilogram in a business turnover of 1,275 lots.
Silver futures tumble on tepid demand
Silver prices tumbled Rs 1,500 to Rs 1,24,374 per kilogram in the futures trade on the MCX as market participants cut down their bets, taking weak cues from international markets.
