New Delhi: Zinc prices rose Rs 4.20 to Rs 294.70 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. Zinc contracts for November delivery traded 1.45 per cent higher in a business turnover of 1,349 lots. The widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher.
Aluminium futures gain on higher spot demand
Aluminium prices rose Rs 1.70 to Rs 266.15 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in November increased 0.64 per cent in 764 lots. Fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices.
Copper futures rise on fresh bets
Copper futures rose 1.99 per cent to Rs 995.65 per kilogram due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for November delivery grew Rs 19.40 in a business turnover of 2,960 lots.
