Zinc futures advance on increased positions

New Delhi: Zinc prices rose marginally to Rs 293.50 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. Zinc contracts for November delivery traded higher by 5paise or 0.02 per cent in a business turnover of 739 lots. The widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher.

Aluminium futures fall on low turnover

Aluminium prices declined 25 paise to Rs 263.15 per kilogram in the futures trade as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in November fell 0.09 per cent in 510 lots.

Copper futures gain on higher demand

Copper futures rose 0.59 per cent to Rs 1,001 per kilogram due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for November delivery grew Rs 5.85 in a business turnover of 1,763 lots.
