Zinc futures advance on increased participation

New Delhi: Zinc prices rose Rs 1.75 to Rs 295.35 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. Zinc contracts for November delivery traded 0.6 per cent higher in a business turnover of 941 lots.
Aluminium futures gain on high demand
Aluminium prices rose by Rs 2.75 to Rs 268.70 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in No-vember increased 1.03 per cent in 368 lots. Fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices.
Copper futures rise on fresh bets
Copper futures rose 1.28 per cent to Rs 1,017 per kilogram due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for November delivery grew Rs 12.90 in a turnover of 1,895 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
