Zinc futures advance on increased participation

New Delhi: Zinc prices rose 1 per cent to Rs 296.95 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. Zinc contracts for November delivery traded higher by Re 1 to Rs 296.95 per kilogram with a business turnover of 567 lots.
Aluminium futures fall on trimmed positions
Aluminium prices declined 20 paise to Rs 264.05 per kilogram in the futures trade as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in November fell 0.08 per cent in 552 lots. The cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
Copper futures gain on higher demand
Copper futures rose 0.2 per cent to Rs 1,004 per kilogram due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for November delivery grew Rs 2.05 or 0.2 per cent to Rs 1,004 per kg in a business turnover of 1,643 lots.
