Zinc futures advance on increased participation

New Delhi: Zinc prices rose 95 paise to Rs 296.30 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. Zinc contracts for November delivery traded 0.32 per cent higher in a business turnover of 652 lots.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh positions
Aluminium prices rose 65 paise to Rs 262.45 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in November increased 0.25 per cent in 397 lots. Fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices.
Copper futures gain on higher demand
Copper futures rose 1.03 per cent to Rs 1,004.70 per kilogram on Monday due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for November delivery grew Rs 10.20 in a turnover of 1,400 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
