Gold and silver costs in India on April 3, 2026 stayed largely steady with small fluctuations over the popular cities. Instead of the worldwide market reacting to the geopolitical tensions in West Asia and diverse signals from the US dollar, the precious metals have stayed somewhat subdued. Conventionally noticed as safe-haven assets, their lack of sharp upward movement shows cautious investor feeling and steady domestic command.
As per the new retail market rates, 24-carat gold is trading around ₹14,896 per gram. However, the 22-carat gold is cost near ₹13,654 per gram. The price of the silver are hovering close to ₹2,49,900 per kilogram in the domestic bullion world. The cost is different somewhat across the cities due to transportation costs, local taxes, and jewellers’ margins.
It is to be noted that gold prices in India are primarily directed by
- International bullion rates,
- The rupee-dollar exchange rate,
- Import duties,
- Seasonal jewellery demand.
With the wedding and festive season approaching in some regions, retail demand remains stable, preventing sharp corrections in prices.
