Hyderabad Gold Rates Surge on May 6: 22K, 24K, 18K Updated

Gold rates in Hyderabad recorded a sharp rise on Tuesday, with prices for 22-carat, 24-carat, and 18-carat gold all registering significant gains from the previous day. The upward revision comes amid global economic factors impacting bullion markets, including inflation trends, changes in international spot prices, central bank policies, and fluctuating interest rates.

As of Tuesday, the price of 24-carat gold stands at Rs 9,846 per gram, marking an increase of Rs 273 from Monday's aq rate of Rs 9,573. The 22-carat segment is priced at Rs 9,025 per gram, reflecting a gain of Rs 250 from Monday's Rs 8,775. Meanwhile, 18-carat gold reached Rs 7,384 per gram, up by Rs 204 from the earlier Rs 7,180.

This rise in prices follows a consistent upward trajectory seen over the past few days. For instance, the 24-carat gold rate remained unchanged at Rs 9,551 on both May 3 and May 4, before rising to Rs 9,573 on May 5. Similarly, the 22-carat price, which had stayed flat at Rs 8,755 for two consecutive days, increased to Rs 8,775 on May 5 and further to Rs 9,025 today.

The highest gold price so far in May has been recorded today, with both 22-carat and 24-carat gold reaching Rs 9,025 and Rs 9,846 respectively. In contrast, the lowest rates this month were seen on May 2, when 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 8,755 and 24-carat gold at Rs 9,551. The overall percentage change from May 1 to May 6 is approximately 2.85 per cent for both categories, indicating a strong upward trend.

Over the past ten days, the average gold rate in Hyderabad for 22-carat gold has been Rs 8,873.70, while the 24-carat average stood at Rs 9,680.70 per gram. Extended averages show consistent long-term growth. For example, over the past year, the average rate for 22-carat gold was Rs 7,293.20 and for 24-carat gold it was Rs 7,956.24. Looking further back, the five-year average for 22-carat gold was Rs 5,435.32, and for 24-carat it was Rs 5,928.59.
