Gold prices in Hyderabad registered a decline on Thursday, with all major categories showing a downward shift. The rate for 24-carat gold fell to Rs 9,573 per gram, a drop of Rs 218 compared to the previous day’s price.
The price for 22-carat gold slipped to Rs 8,775 per gram, decreasing by Rs 200, while 18-carat gold was priced at Rs 7,180 per gram, down by Rs 164 from Wednesday.
The fall in domestic prices mirrors a broader dip in international gold markets. Key global factors such as inflation outlook, interest rate adjustments, and central bank policies continue to influence price movements. Additionally, demand in the jewellery sector and shifts in global reserve holdings also affect the trend.
Compared to April 30, the cost of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has reduced by Rs 2,180. Similarly, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is cheaper by Rs 2,000, and 18-carat gold of the same weight has dropped by Rs 1,640.
Over the past month, gold prices in Hyderabad showed volatility but ended on a higher note. On April 1, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 9,284 per gram, while 22-carat was at Rs 8,510. By April 30, these rates rose to Rs 9,791 and Rs 8,975 respectively, reflecting a gain of 5.46 per cent for both categories during the month.
April 22 marked the highest price point of the month, with 24-carat gold touching Rs 10,135 and 22-carat reaching Rs 9,290. The lowest was seen on April 8, when 24-carat gold dipped to Rs 8,973 and 22-carat to Rs 8,225.
