Gold prices in Hyderabad climbed once again on Monday, with the 24-carat rate reaching Rs 12,077 per gram, showing an increase of Rs 137 from Sunday’s price. The 22-carat gold rate moved up to Rs 11,070 per gram, higher by Rs 125, while the 18-carat segment rose to Rs 9,058 per gram, gaining Rs 103.

The upward movement in prices reflects the continuing strength of gold in the international market. The trend is being driven by global economic uncertainties, inflationary pressures, and central bank policies that have influenced the overall demand for the precious metal. Local gold rates in Hyderabad often mirror these international changes, with fluctuations in currency values and interest rates adding to the impact.

Compared with the previous day, gold prices in all major karats have recorded steady gains. The 24K gold, which was priced at Rs 11,940 on October 5, increased by Rs 137 per gram to settle at Rs 12,077 today. The 22K rate moved up from Rs 10,945 to Rs 11,070 per gram, while the 18K rate advanced from Rs 8,955 to Rs 9,058 per gram. The steady rise has also lifted gold prices across larger quantities, with a 10-gram purchase of 24K gold now costing Rs 1,20,770 — up by Rs 1,370 from yesterday.

Over the past ten days, the gold rate in Hyderabad has shown a consistent upward pattern. On October 1, 24K gold stood at Rs 11,924 per gram, while on October 6, it rose to Rs 12,077 per gram — marking an overall gain of 0.13 percent for both 24K and 22K categories. The highest price this month for 24K gold was recorded on October 4 at Rs 11,940, while the lowest was on October 3 at Rs 11,853 per gram.

The current rates, however, do not include GST, TCS, and other levies. Actual retail prices may vary slightly across jewellers in the city. Experts suggest that with festive demand around the corner, buyers may see continued fluctuations in the days ahead as global trends continue to influence the local bullion market.
