Gold Prices Today, October 15: Check Latest Gold and Silver Rates in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kolkata

Gold and silver prices reached new all-time highs on the 15th of October, 2025, because investors were still looking for places to park their money safely and this was triggered by the US-China trade war tensions and the anticipation of more cuts in the US Fed interest rates this year.

Gold and silver prices reported by the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) indicated that gold future contracts were priced at ₹1,25,198 for every 10 grams, and silver was priced at around ₹1,58,247 for every kilogram, in the early hours of trading.

Reasons for the Rising Gold Prices

The rise in gold demand has been justified by experts with the reasons mentioned above, namely, heightened global political risk and the declining dollar value which in turn made the metals more appealing. The gold rate in INR has risen nearly 56% in 2025 and more than 1,200% in 20 years going from ₹7,638 in 2005 to over ₹1,00,000 in 2025. Silver, on the other hand, has also been more than 669% in the same period, staying above the ₹1 lakh mark for months.
