On Thursday, Hyderabad gold prices reached a new annual peak, which was another day for gold to move up. The price of 24-karat gold reached Rs 12,945 per gram and the price of 22-karat gold was Rs 11,866 per gram. The 18-carat type also showed a small increase to Rs 9,709 per gram, which is just Re 1 more than the previous day’s level.
In bulk terms, 10 grams of 24-karat gold is now worth Rs 1,29,450, and 10 grams of 22-karat gold is Rs 1,18,660. The market for 18-karat gold is priced at Rs 97,090 per 10 grams, indicating a slow but sure increase of Rs 10 across all classifications from yesterday.
On Wednesday, gold prices were: Rs 12,944 per gram for 24K, Rs 11,865 for 22K, and Rs 9,708 for 18K. Although the daily rise of Re 1 per gram does not seem like much, the entire upward trend is very strong when the cumulative gains from the beginning of the month are taken into account.
At the start of October gold price for 24K was Rs 11,924 and for 22K was Rs 10,930. By today those prices have increased to Rs 12,945 and Rs 11,866 which means a gain of over 8.5 percent in just over two weeks.
October 3 was the day with the lowest gold prices this month, when 24K gold was Rs 11,853 and 22K was Rs 10,865 per gram. Hyderabad's gold prices have since risen steadily without any significant corrections.
