Gold and Silver Surge Today: Delhi, Mumbai Rates Hit Record Levels

The day commenced with the prices of gold and silver in India ascending, with the domestic market and global market trends contributing to their rise. The Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) has declared a price for 24-carat gold of Rs 1,28,592 per 10 grams and the price of silver at Rs 1,78,210 per kilogram.
Delhi’s sarafa market saw, as per the All India Sarafa Association, gold rising to Rs 1,32,900 for 10 grams after a hike of Rs 1,300 compared to the last Friday's price. Silver also went up, with a price of Rs 1,83,500 per kilogram, i.e. an increase of Rs 3,500.
Global indicators depict gold in spot transactions at $4,223.76 per ounce and silver at $58.17 per ounce, which is an indication of the persistent interest from the investors.

The gold prices in other major cities such as Patna, Ghaziabad, Noida, Gurugram, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Surat, Kanpur, Nagpur, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar, Indore, Ludhiana, Kochi, and Ayodhya are in a very close range from Rs 1,30,140 to Rs 1,31,340 per 10 grams for 24K gold, indicating a stable but strong market trend.

Kotak Securities' analysts say that gold is still drawing good offers from the market, with the price consistently over $4,205 per ounce, and that the global bulls are waiting for the US inflation figures to be announced, which may affect the policies of the Federal Reserve. A small fall in the Dollar Index, down 0.13% to 98.87, is also enhancing the demand for the metal prices.
