Futures trade on a mixed note

Gold surged Rs407 to a fresh lifetime high of Rs 1,06,199 per 10 grams, extending its winning streak to the 11th straight session as investors rushed to safe-haven assets amid US trade tariff uncertainty and weakness in global equities.

Silver prices fell by Rs435 to Rs 1,24,095 per kilogram in futures trade as traders booked profits at higher levels amid a weak trend in the global markets. Silver contracts for December delivery declined 0.35 per cent in a business turnover of 20,244 lots.
