Crude oil futures ease amid weak spot demand

Crude oil futures Wednesday declined by Rs 36 to Rs 5,182 per barrel as participants trimmed their positions amid weak demand in the spot market.

Crude oil for November delivery fell 0.69 per cent in 12,663 lots. The prices fell after participants offloaded their holdings amid weak demand in the spot market.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading 0.14 per cent higher at $58.78 per barrel, while Brent Crude rose 0.02 per cent to $62.40 per barrel in New York.
