Brent crude climbs 0.57% to $96.47/ barrel

Global crude oil traded higher on Friday as fresh attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure and persistent concerns over disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz kept investors on edge, amid a two-week ceasefire announced by US President Donald Trump.
Brent crude, the global oil benchmark, climbed 0.57 per cent to USD 96.47 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) traded at $99.24 in early trade, up 1.39 per cent. Oil prices slipped to nearly 20 per cent below the $100-per-barrel mark on Wednesday, after averaging that level since February 28.
