Copper futures rise on higher spot demand

Copper prices rose Rs 1.85 to Rs 909.15 per kilogram in the domestic futures market due to higher spot demand. Extending the gains for the fourth consecutive session, copper contracts for September delivery went up 0.2 per cent in a business turnover of 6,034 lots.

Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets

Aluminium prices rose Rs 1.30 to Rs 256.55 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in September increased 0.51 per cent in 4,239 lots.

Zinc futures gain on high turnover

Zinc prices rose 60 paise to Rs 279.85 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. Zinc contracts for October delivery traded 0.21 per cent higher in a business turnover of 913 lots.
