Commopdity Watch: Zinc Futures Climb On High Demand

New Delhi: Zinc prices on Tuesday rose Rs 2.60 to Rs 249.65 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded higher by Rs 2.60 or 1.05 per cent at Rs 249.65 per kg with a business turnover of 286 lots.
Copper futures gain on spot demand
Copper futures rose 0.37 per cent to Rs 849.10 per kilogram on Tuesday due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for June delivery climbed Rs 3.15 or 0.37 per cent to Rs 849.10 per kg in a business turnover of 747 lots.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices on Tuesday rose 90 paise to Rs 234.60 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May increased 90 paise or 0.39 per cent to Rs 234.60 per kg in 334 lots.
