Commodity Watch: Zinc futures rise slightly amid firm demand

New Delhi: Zinc prices rose a tad by 45 paise to Rs 324.95 per kg in futures trade amid firm demands even as traders moved cautiously due to the lack of significant triggers. Zinc contracts for April delivery edged up 0.14 per cent in a turnover of 50 lots. Traders attributed the slight rise in zinc futures to limited buying at lower levels, even as a lack of fresh triggers kept overall sentiment cautious.
Copper futures gain on spot demand
Copper futures rose by Rs 2.40 to Rs 1,218 per kg on Friday due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for April delivery grew 0.2 per cent in a turnover of 111 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices rose by 0.28 per cent to Rs 335.10 per kg in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium prices for delivery in April increased by 95 paise to Rs 335.10 per kilogram in 28 lots.
