Commodity Watch: Zinc Futures Rise On Positive Trend

New Delhi: Zinc prices increased 15 paise to Rs247 per kilogram in the futures trade on Monday amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded higher by 15 paise or 0.06 per cent at Rs247 per kg with a business turnover of 281 lots. Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.

Copper futures gain on spot demand

Copper futures rose 0.41 per cent to Rs847.80 per kilogram on Monday due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for June delivery climbed Rs3.45 or 0.41 per cent to Rs847.80 per kg in a business turnover of 645 lots.

Aluminium futures fall on trimmed positions

Aluminium prices declined 10 paise to Rs234 per kilogram in the futures market on Monday as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
