Commodity Watch: Zinc Futures Rise On High Demand

New Delhi: Zinc prices on Monday rose 40 paise to Rs 257.15 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded higher by 40 paise or 0.16 per cent at Rs 257.15 per kg with a business turnover of 2,244 lots.
Aluminium futures fall on trimmed positions
Aluminium prices on Monday slipped 40 paise to Rs 237.20 per kilogram in the futures trade as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June fell 40 paise or 0.17 per cent to Rs 237.20 per kg in 3,983 lots.
Copper futures decline on weak trend
Copper futures on Monday slipped 0.09 per cent to Rs 866.05 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for June delivery eased by 80 paise or 0.09 per cent to Rs 866.05 per kilogram in a business turnover of 6,430 lots.
