Commodity Watch: Zinc futures gain on higher spot demand

New Delhi: Zinc prices fell 25paise to Rs329.75 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery slipped 0.08 per cent in a business turnover of 31 lots. Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices rose 0.91 per cent to Rs 332 per kg in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in April increased by Rs3 in 47 lots.
Copper futures ease on weak trend
Copper futures rose by Rs 6.20 to Rs 1,230.35 per kg on Wednesday due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for April delivery grew 0.51 per cent in a business turnover of 282 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
