Commodity Watch: Zinc futures dip nearly 1% on low demand

New Delhi: Zinc prices dipped nearly 1 per cent to Rs 316.25 per kilogram in futures trade due to bearish sentiment in the domestic market amid weak global trends. Zinc for March delivery dipped by Rs 3.05 in 2,227 lots.
Similarly, the April contract also went lower by Rs 3.25, or 1.01 per cent, to Rs 319.25 per kg in 2,088 lots. Analysts said zinc prices were under pressure amid cautious sentiment and a lack of strong demand signals in the industrial metals segment.
Aluminium futures fall on weak sentiment
Aluminium prices declined by nearly 1 per cent to Rs 337.80 per kilogram in futures trade amid weak trends in the global markets. Aluminium for March delivery decreased by Rs 3.10, or 0.91 per cent in 2,189 lots.
Copper futures ease amid global losses
Copper prices eased by Rs 9.15 to Rs 1,186.80 per kg in futures trade as weak global trends weighed on market sentiment. Copper for April delivery fell 0.77 per cent in 7,852 lots.
