Commodity Watch: Zinc futures decline on weak trend

New Delhi: Zinc prices fell 0.48 per cent to Rs 283.20 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. Zinc contracts for October delivery traded Rs 1.35 lower in 3,291 lots. The trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries mainly weighed on zinc prices

Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets

Aluminium prices rose 90 paise to Rs 256.10 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in October increased 0.35 per cent in 4,063 lots.

Copper futures fall on low turnover

Copper futures fell Rs 7.35 to Rs 946.90 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. Copper futures for the October contract eased 0.78 per cent in a turnover of 7,210 lots.
