Commodity Watch: Zinc futures decline on trimmed positions

New Delhi: Zinc prices fell Rs 3.25 to Rs 306.15 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery slipped 1.05 per cent in a turnover of 740 lots. Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants mainly weighed on zinc prices.

Aluminium futures fall on lower demand

Aluminium prices declined by Rs 2.80 to Rs 278 per kilogram in the futures trade as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in January fell 1 per cent in 617 lots.

Copper futures slip on weak trend

Copper futures fell Rs 17.20 to Rs 1,087.55 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. Copper futures for the January contract eased 1.56 per cent in a turnover of 1,907 lots.
