Commodity Watch: Zinc Futures Decline On Trimmed Positions

New Delhi: Zinc prices on Monday fell 0.26 per cent to Rs 252.55 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery traded lower by 65 paise or 0.26 per cent at Rs 252.55 per kg in 825 lots.
Copper futures gain on spot demand
Copper futures rose 0.11 per cent to Rs 880.45 per kilogram on Monday due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for July delivery grew by 90 paise or 0.11 per cent to Rs 880.45 per kg in a business turnover of 988 lots.
Aluminium futures slip on weak trend
Aluminium prices on Monday declined by 55 paise to Rs 237.25 per kilogram in the futures trade as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in July fell 55 paise or 0.23 per cent to Rs 237.25 per kg in 4,222 lots.
