Commodity Watch: Zinc futures decline on negative trend

New Delhi: Zinc prices fell Rs 2.60 to Rs 338.15 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. Zinc contracts for February delivery slipped 0.76 per cent in a business turnover of 4,401 lots. Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants mainly weighed on zinc prices.

Copper futures slip on weak demand

Copper futures fell Rs 18.60 to Rs 1,392.90 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. Copper futures for the February contract eased by 1.32 per cent in a business turnover of 18,497 lots.

Aluminium futures fall on low bets

Aluminium prices slipped by Rs 4.10 to Rs 337.40 per kilogram in the futures trade as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in February fell 1.2 per cent in 5,206 lots.
