Commodity Watch: Zinc futures decline on lower turnover

New Delhi: Zinc prices fell Rs1.05 to Rs 313.55 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. Zinc contracts for February delivery slipped 0.33 per cent in a business turnover of 3,524 lots. Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.

Aluminium futures slip on weak trend

Aluminium prices slipped by Rs 1.85 to Rs 316.25 per kilogram in the futures trade as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in February fell 0.58 per cent in 3,530 lots.

Copper futures fall on low bets

Copper futures fell Rs 20.50 to Rs 1,287.85 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. Copper futures for the February contract eased by 1.57 per cent in a business turnover of 10,570 lots.
