New Delhi: Zinc prices rose Rs 1.10 to Rs 298.25 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded 0.37 per cent higher in a business turnover of 616 lots. Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries, kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.

Copper futures gain on higher demand

Copper futures rose 0.27 per cent to Rs 1,002.75 per kilogram due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for November delivery grew Rs 2.75 in a business turnover of 9,722 lots.

Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets

Aluminium prices Friday rose slightly by 25 paise to Rs 272 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in November increased 0.09 per cent in 3,134 lots.
