Commodity Watch: Copper futures slip on subdued domestic demand

New Delhi: Copper prices fell Rs 31.55 to Rs 1,088.65 per kilogram in the futures trade, weighed down by muted demand in the domestic spot market. Copper for April delivery slipped 2.82 per cent in 2,562 lots. Traders said subdued domestic demand from consuming industries weighed on copper prices in futures trade.
Zinc futures fall on low bets
Zinc prices fell Rs 3.10 to Rs 304.10 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. Zinc contracts for April delivery slipped 1.01 per cent in 269 lots. Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants weighed on zinc prices.
Aluminium futures ease on weak trend
Aluminium prices dropped Rs 2.80 to Rs 327.80 per kg in futures trade on Monday as participants trimmed their positions amid a weak trend in spot markets. Aluminium for delivery in April fell 0.85 per cent in 264 lots.
