New Delhi: Copper prices fell Rs 7.50 to Rs 1,201 per kilogram in the futures trade on Monday, weighed down by muted demand in the domestic spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper for April delivery slipped 0.62 per cent in 410 lots. Traders said subdued domestic demand from consuming industries weighed on copper prices in futures trade.

Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets

Aluminium prices rose nearly 0.31 per cent to Rs 352.05 per kg in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium prices for delivery in April increased Rs 1.10 in 76 lots.

Zinc futures ease on weak trend

Zinc prices on Monday fell Rs 1.20 to Rs 326.05 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. Zinc contracts for April delivery slipped by 0.37 per cent in a turnover of 78 lots.
