Commodity Watch: Copper futures rise on increased participation

New Delhi: Copper futures rose by Rs 1.65 to Rs 1,228 per kg on Monday due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for May delivery grew 0.13 per cent in 574 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
Zinc futures climb on high turnover
Zinc prices rose marginally by Rs 2.50 to Rs 332.45 per kg in futures trade due to higher spot demand. Zinc contracts for May delivery edged up 0.76 per cent in 137 lots. Traders attributed the rise in zinc futures to higher bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices rose nearly 1.87 per cent to Rs 365.15 per kg in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in May increased by Rs 6.70 in 194 lots.
