Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Gain On Spot Demand

New Delhi: Copper futures rose by 0.3 per cent to Rs 865.70 per kilogram on Wednesday due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for June delivery climbed Rs 2.60 or 0.3 per cent to Rs 865.70 per kg in a business turnover of 4,896 lots.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 1.15 to Rs 241.70 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June, increased by Rs 1.15 or 0.48 per cent to Rs 241.70 per kg in 2,937 lots.
Zinc futures rise on high participation
Zinc prices on Wednesday increased 90 paise to Rs 259.40 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded higher by 90 paise or 0.35 per cent at Rs 259.40 per kg with a business turnover of 1,791 lots.
