Commodity Watch: Copper futures gain on higher spot demand

New Delhi: Copper futures rose 0.43 per cent to Rs 1,127.20 per kilogram due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for January delivery grew Rs 4.85 in a business turnover of 6,120 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh positions
Aluminium prices rose Rs 1.35 to Rs 286.70 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in January increased 0.47 per cent in 2,402 lots.
Zinc futures up on high bets
Zinc prices rose Rs 1.40 to Rs 304.50 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. Zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by 0.46 per cent in a turnover of 2,209 lots.
