Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Gain On Higher Participation

New Delhi: Copper futures rose 0.29 per cent to Rs 857.80 per kilogram on Tuesday due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for June delivery climbed Rs 2.50 or 0.29 per cent to Rs 857.80 per kg in a business turnover of 1,658 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
Aluminium futures climb on positive cues
Aluminium prices on Tuesday rose Rs 1.05 to Rs 239.30 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June increased Rs 1.05 or 0.44 per cent to Rs 239.30 per kg in 955 lots.
Zinc futures rise on high demand
Zinc prices on Tuesday rose Rs 1.40 to Rs 253.30 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded higher by Rs 1.40 or 0.56 per cent at Rs 253.30 per kg with a business turnover of 986 lots.
