Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Decline On Weak Trend

New Delhi: Copper futures on Wednesday slipped 0.98 per cent to Rs 846 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for May delivery eased by Rs 8.40 or 0.98 per cent to Rs 846 per kilogram in a business turnover of 7,405 lots.
Aluminium futures fall on low demand
Aluminium prices on Wednesday declined Rs 1.75 to Rs 234.70 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May fell Rs 1.75 or 0.74 per cent to Rs 234.70 per kg in 5,008 lots.
Zinc futures decline on trimmed positions
Zinc prices on Wednesday fell 0.66 per cent to Rs 249.45 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded lower by Rs 1.65 or 0.66 per cent at Rs 249.45 per kg in 2,851 lots.
