New Delhi: Copper futures on Friday slipped 0.71 per cent to Rs852.45 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for May delivery eased by Rs6.10 or 0.71 per cent to Rs852.45 per kilogram in a business turnover of 899 lots.

Aluminium futures rise on positive cues

Aluminium prices on Friday rose 45 paise to Rs234.25 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June increased 45 paise or 0.19 per cent to Rs234.25 per kg in 688 lots.

Zinc futures fall reduced participation

Zinc prices on Friday fell 0.32 per cent to Rs250.35 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded lower by 80 paise or 0.32 per cent at Rs250.35 per kg in 592 lots.
