Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Decline On Weak Demand

New Delhi: Copper futures on Thursday slipped 0.08 per cent to Rs 848.95 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for June delivery eased by 65 paise or 0.08 per cent to Rs 848.95 per kilogram in a business turnover of 806 lots.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
New Delhi: Aluminium prices on Thursday rose Rs 1.40 to Rs 231.50 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June increased Rs 1.40 or 0.61 per cent to Rs 231.50 per kg in 697 lots.
Zinc futures rise on high demand
New Delhi: Zinc prices on Thursday rose 65 paise to Rs 247.80 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded higher by 65 paise or 0.26 per cent at Rs 247.80 per kg with a business turnover of 535 lots.
