Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Decline On Trimmed Positions

New Delhi: Copper futures on Tuesday slipped 0.57 per cent to Rs866.70 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for July delivery eased by Rs4.95 or 0.57 per cent to Rs866.70 per kilogram in a business turnover of 854 lots.
Zinc futures decline on lower demand
Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 0.55 per cent to Rs254.25 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery traded lower by Rs1.40 or 0.55 per cent at Rs254.25 per kg in 254 lots.
Aluminium futures fall on weak trend
Aluminium prices on Tuesday declined Rs2.65 to Rs237.10 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in July fell Rs2.65 or 1.11 per cent to Rs237.10 per kg in 510 lots.
