Commodity Watch: Copper futures decline on reduced participation

New Delhi: Copper futures fell Rs 9.30 to Rs 1,001.60 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. Copper futures for the November contract eased by 0.92 per cent in a business turnover of 8,024 lots. Lower bets by participants led to decline in copper prices.
Aluminium futures fall on lower bets
Aluminium prices slipped Rs 1.65 to Rs 268.95 per kilogram in the futures trade as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in November fell 0.61 per cent in 3,475 lots.
Zinc futures decline on weak trend
Zinc prices fell 0.84 per cent to Rs 296.25 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. Zinc contracts for November delivery traded lower by Rs 2.50 in 2,279 lots. Trimming of positions by participants mainly weighed on zinc prices.
