Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Decline On Muted Demand

New Delhi: Copper futures on Monday slipped 0.25 per cent to Rs853 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for May delivery eased by Rs2.10 or 0.25 per cent to Rs853 per kilogram in a business turnover of 7,399 lots.
Aluminium futures fall on easing depositions
Aluminium prices on Monday declined 70 paise to Rs234.50 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May fell 70 paise or 0.3 per cent to Rs234.50 per kg in 4,861 lots.
Zinc futures decline on weak trend
Zinc prices on Monday fell 0.73 per cent to Rs249.90 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded lower by Rs1.85 or 0.73 per cent at Rs249.90 per kg in 2,675 lots.
