Commodity Watch: Copper futures decline on low turnover

New Delhi: Copper futures fell Rs 2.10 to Rs 1,017.25 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. Copper futures for the December contract eased by Rs 2.10, or 0.21 per cent, to Rs 1,017.25 per kilogram in a business turnover of 2,692 lots. Analysts attributed the decline in copper prices to lower bets by participants.

Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets

Aluminium prices rose 15paise to Rs 275.90 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in November increased 0.05 per cent in 529 lots.

Zinc futures fall on weak trend

Zinc prices fell 0.2 per cent to Rs 300.10 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. Zinc contracts for December delivery traded lower by 60paise in 670 lots.
