Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Decline On Low Participation

New Delhi: Copper futures on Friday slipped 0.13 per cent to Rs 865.25 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for June delivery eased by Rs 1.10 or 0.13 per cent to Rs 865.25 per kilogram in a business turnover of 3,674 lots.
Aluminium futures fall on weak demand
Aluminium prices on Friday declined Rs 1.10 to Rs 241 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June fell Rs 1.10 or 0.45 per cent to Rs 241 per kg in 1,652 lots.
Zinc futures decline on negative cues
Zinc prices on Friday fell 0.46 per cent to Rs 257.30 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded lower by Rs 1.20 or 0.46 per cent at Rs 257.30 per kg in 1,545 lots.
