Commodity Watch: Copper futures advance on increased participation

New Delhi: Copper futures rose 0.48 per cent to Rs 1,025 per kilogram due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for December delivery grew Rs 4.85 in a turnover of 3,263 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
Zinc futures rise on higher demand
Zinc prices rose Rs 1.70 to Rs 302.90 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. Zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher by 0.56 per cent in a business turnover of 663 lots.
Aluminium futures gain on fresh bets
Aluminium prices rose 15 paise to Rs 276.25 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in December increased 0.5 per cent in 790 lots.
