Commodity Watch: Copper futures advance on increased participation

New Delhi: Copper futures rose 0.32 per cent to Rs 1,011.75 per kilogram due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for December delivery grew Rs 3.25 in a business turnover of 2,221 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
Zinc futures climb on higher demand
Zinc prices rose Rs 1.20 to Rs 298.15 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. Zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher 0.4 per cent in a business turnover of 581 lots.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices rose 80 paise to Rs 275 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in November increased 0.29 per cent in 378 lots. Fresh positions created by traders supported aluminium prices.
