New Delhi: Aluminium prices rose nearly 0.24 per cent to Rs 334.75 per kg in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of aluminium for delivery in April increased 80 paise, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 334.75 per kilogram in 370 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.

Zinc futures rise marginally on high demand

Zinc prices rose marginally by Rs 1.80 to Rs 310.40 per kg in futures trade due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery edged up Rs 1.80, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 310.40 per kg with a business turnover of 436 lots.

Copper futures slip on subdued domestic demand

Copper prices fell Rs 17.95 to Rs 1,152.50 per kilogram in the futures trade on Wednesday, weighed down by muted demand in the domestic spot market.
