Commodity Watch: Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets

New Delhi: Aluminium prices rose nearly 0.28 per cent to Rs 320.85 per kg in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in February increased by 90 paise in 3,209 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries.

Copper futures gain on higher spot demand

Copper futures rose 0.57 per cent to Rs 1,323.65 per kg on Monday due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for February delivery grew marginally by Rs 7.45 in a business turnover of 7,925 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets.

Zinc futures rise on high demand

Zinc prices rose slightly by 95 paise to Rs 317.55 per kg in futures trade as traders stayed on the sidelines amid a lack of fresh triggers. Zinc contracts for February delivery edged up 0.3 per cent in a business turnover of 2,820 lots.
