Commodity Watch: Aluminium Futures Fall On Weak Trend

New Delhi: Aluminium prices on Monday fell 85 paise to Rs 235.60 per kilogram in the futures trade as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June declined by 85 paise or 0.36 per cent to Rs 235.60 per kg in 4,471 lots.

Zinc futures rise on high turnover

Zinc prices on Monday rose Rs 1.40 to Rs 252.40 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded higher by Rs 1.40 or 0.56 per cent to Rs 252.40 per kg with a business turnover of 3,545 lots.

Copper futures gain on spot demand

Copper futures rose by 0.91 per cent to Rs 868.80 per kilogram on Monday due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for June delivery went up by Rs 7.85 or 0.91 per cent to Rs 868.80 per kg in a business turnover of 7,215 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
