Commodity Watch: Aluminium Futures Fall On Trimmed Positions

NEW DELHI: Aluminium prices dropped by Rs 2.45 to Rs 328.65 per kg in the futures trade as participants trimmed their positions amid a weak trend in spot markets.

Alu- minium for delivery in April fell 0.74 per cent in 80 lots. Analysts said the cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.

Zinc futures ease on weak trend

Zinc prices fell Rs 1.85 to Rs 307.20 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. Zinc contracts for April delivery slipped 0.6 per cent in a 100 lots.

Copper futures slip on low demand

Copper prices fell Rs 17.75 to Rs 1,119.90 per kilogram in the futures trade, weighed down by muted demand in the domestic spot market. Copper for April delivery slipped 1.56 per cent in 1,338 lots.
